Take Back the Harbor

SYNOPSIS

On New York’s Governors Island, an unprecedented program has an ambitious goal: to restore once-bountiful oysters, and their environmental benefits, to New York Harbor. The foot soldiers of this movement are high school students at a remarkable public school that teaches waterway stewardship alongside math and English.
