Bella Vista

A meditation on displacement and adaptation in the contemporary American West, Bella Vista follows the lives of outsiders in Missoula, Montana. Teaching English to a group of international students, thirty-something Doris finds herself increasingly alone.

Cortez

After a canceled tour, flailing musician Jesse Lirette seeks out an old flame in a small town in Northern New Mexico. When an arrogant attempt at inserting himself into her family fails, he must confront the mistakes of his past on his own.

Farmer of the Year

After selling the Minnesota family farm eighty-three year old Hap Anderson just feels old and in the way so he tries to recapture his youth by road tripping with his unemployed granddaughter in a dilapidated Winnebago to his WWII reunion.

Nona

NONA is the story of a girl from Honduras who meets a charming boy, Hecho. Hecho promises to get her safely to America to reunite with her mother, but instead, Nona faces a perilous journey when he doesn’t deliver on that promise.

Sami Blood

Elle Marja, 14, is a reindeer-breeding Sámi girl. Exposed to the racism of the 1930's and race biology examinations at her boarding school, she starts dreaming of another life.

The Summerlands

Deeds is 13 and a bit of an oddball. Jill is a caustic 40. Half-sisters but complete strangers, they're not thrilled to be stuck in a car with each other for the next 5 days. The world outside the windows can pass in a blur unless you get out of the car. But then you have to deal with the people.
