Our National Mammal
SYNOPSIS
Our National Mammal is a short documentary exposing the controversial management and ruthless treatment of America’s last wild bison and the people fighting to protect them. Shot on location at Buffalo Field Campaign’s headquarters in Montana and within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, this short film combines high quality footage with gritty, gorilla media documenting over 20 years of abuse of North America’s, and the World’s, only wild migratory buffalo.
In 2016, through an act of Congress, President Obama named the bison our country’s first national mammal. Yet, the National Bison Legacy Act failed to protect them. Buffalo Field Campaign works in the field and the policy arena in defense of Our National Mammal! To learn more about Buffalo Field Campaign, visit www.buffalofieldcampaign.org.
