Lunch Hour
SYNOPSIS
Lunch Hour is an explosive new documentary that sheds light on the unhealthy-yet culturally, economically and politically accepted-foods being served to our nation’s youth via the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). With an undeniable obesity epidemic in this country, why aren’t we addressing the root of the issue? In the film, celebrity chefs (Rachael Ray), politicians (Kirsten Gillibrand D-NY), doctors (Dr. Neal Barnard), radio personalities (Robin Quivers), journalists (Peter Eisler, USA Today), experts (Marion Nestle), and top school officials come together to reveal their alarming findings and share what they’re doing to help problem-solve this increasingly devastating national crisis.
