SYNOPSIS

A few outdoor friends wanted to know if people took going to the bathroom in the outdoors seriously. What they discovered first hand from thru-hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail is both shocking and useful for anyone who ventures out into the wild.

A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR

There are plenty of resources and rules out there directed at ensuring our public lands remain pristine but the problem is that these lessons are often not engaging and lack detail around how to cope with going to the bathroom in the outdoors. I desperately wanted to know if people visiting the backcountry knew how to go poo there. I want to share their experiences with others to inspire better behavior, more exploration, and to protect the lands I love.
